Employment Law Update: Employee Notice Obligations

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division has announced additional guidance to provide information to workers and employers regarding rights associated with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.

Employers are obligated to inform employees about their rights under the Act, which they can accomplish through dissemination of a Notice created by the DOL. The Notice is to be provided to employees via email or by directly mailing the Notice to employees, posting the Notice on an employee information internal or external website, or by physically posting the Notice at the employer’s place of business.
